Cashew Nuts — Côte d'Ivoire · Ghana · Nigeria

CarverAgri is a direct-origin cashew nut supplier sourcing both raw cashew nuts (RCN) and processed kernels from West African growing belts. We buy through vetted co-operatives and primary processors in Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana and Nigeria, the region that now accounts for the majority of the world’s raw cashew harvest.

Raw cashew nuts are contracted on outturn — typically a KOR (kernel outturn ratio) of 47–52 lbs per 80 kg bag and a nut count of 180–210 nuts/kg — with moisture below 10%. Processed kernels are graded to AFI / CEPCI standards from W180 down to smaller and butt grades.

Every shipment is backed by documented grading, moisture readings and, on request, third-party SGS or Cotecna inspection at load port, so industrial roasters, snack packers and ingredient buyers receive consistent, contract-grade supply.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between RCN and cashew kernels? +

RCN (raw cashew nuts) are the unshelled nuts contracted on outturn, bought by processors. Kernels are the shelled, graded edible nuts (W180–W320 and pieces) ready for roasting or packing.

What does the W grade mean on cashews? +

The W number is the count of white whole kernels per pound. W240 means roughly 240 kernels per pound; a lower number (W180) means larger kernels and a higher grade.

Where do most cashew nuts come from? +

West Africa — led by Côte d’Ivoire — now produces the largest share of raw cashews, while much processing also occurs in India and Vietnam. We source direct from the West African origin.

What minimum order quantity do you supply? +

We typically contract by the full container load (FCL) — about 18–25 MT depending on grade and packing — with multi-container and recurring programmes available.

Can you provide aflatoxin and quality certificates? +

Yes. We arrange SGS or Cotecna inspection at load port and provide moisture, outturn and food-safety documentation aligned to EU import requirements.
