Gum Arabic Origin-direct supplier · CarverAgri

Acacia senegal and acacia seyal gum in kibbled, granule and spray-dried powder grades for food and beverage.

Gum Arabic — Senegal · Chad · Nigeria

As a gum arabic supplier rooted in the Sahel gum belt, CarverAgri sources both Acacia senegal (hashab) and Acacia seyal (talha) exudate from Senegal, Chad and Nigeria. Gum arabic is the dried sap of acacia trees and a natural, water-soluble emulsifier and fibre used across the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.

We supply hand-cleaned lumps, kibbled and granulated grades, sorted by colour and impurity level. Acacia senegal offers higher emulsification and is preferred for flavour and beverage emulsions; Acacia seyal is valued as a soluble dietary fibre and in confectionery.

Lots are graded for colour, moisture (typically below 12–15%), and insoluble matter, with food-grade documentation referencing the E414 / INS 414 specification recognised internationally.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is gum arabic? +

Gum arabic is the natural, hardened sap of acacia trees (mainly Acacia senegal and Acacia seyal). It is a water-soluble fibre and emulsifier used as food additive E414 in drinks, confectionery and pharmaceuticals.

What is gum arabic used for? +

It stabilises soft-drink and flavour emulsions, binds confectionery and tablets, acts as a soluble dietary fibre, fines wine, and is used in inks and coatings.

What is the difference between Acacia senegal and Acacia seyal? +

Acacia senegal (hashab) has stronger emulsifying power and is preferred for beverage emulsions; Acacia seyal (talha) is lighter, less emulsifying and widely used as a soluble fibre and in confectionery.

Is gum arabic the same as acacia gum? +

Yes — “acacia gum” and “gum arabic” are the same ingredient, both referring to the exudate of acacia trees and labelled E414 / INS 414.

In what grades do you supply gum arabic? +

We supply cleaned lumps, siftings, kibbled and granulated grades of both senegal and seyal, plus spray-dried powder for industrial dissolving.
